Versailles MTB race

Very hot day. It was about 90 today! First time I have ever ridden the course and it was surprisingly much more difficult than expected. I had a good start and sat 4th place for a bit. After a few miles the guy in front of me wiped out and dropped back. I didn’t do anything until about 6 miles to go when I passed to the front and still felt good. I saw that I was pulling away slightly and picked up the pace. Never saw them again. I finished 1st overall in CAT 2 at a time of 1:31.
